Wembley Basketball Club is a domestic club with teams playing in both the Altona Basketball Association and Westgate Basketball Association competitions.
Our club is based in Yarraville in Melbourne’s inner west.

How old does my child have to be to play?
Children typically start playing at 7 years of age. Children as young as 4 can begin their skills and development programs with Aussie Hoops and Mini Gators.
When and where do we play?
We have teams in both the Altona Basketball Competition and the Westgate Basketball Competition. Games are played at various stadiums throughout the Inner West on either Friday night or Saturday morning.
When does the season start?
Altona & Westgate seasons both run through the Summer (school terms 4 & 1) and Winter (school terms 2 & 3).

JOSH GIDDEY
Australian professional basketballer selected by Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2021 NBA Draft and currently playing 3rd season with them. Former NBL player with Adelaide 36rs.
RACHEL JARRY
Australian professional basketball player and won bronze in the 2012 London Olympics and placed 5th in the 2016 Rio Olympics, WNBA championship 2013 with Minnesota Lynx, WNBL superstar with Southside Flyers most recently (retired 2022).
